Norwich City
Norwich host Derby County in the Championship following their superb and display at the Emirates against Arsenal on Tuesday night.
The yellow’s unbeaten run in the league has now stretched to 8 games, although they have struggled to win games at home recently. Their latest three games at home have resulted in draws against Burton Albion, Bristol City and Hull City.
We are hoping that they can turn these draws into wins this weekend, although Derby will be on a high having beaten Nottingham Forest in their latest derby fixture. Derby sit three points behind the Canaries, but have a game in hand. A win for Norwich would help to secure their place in the promotion places.
Norwich will also be using this home fixture to mark its annual support for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. This is a cause that we are also very keen on supporting as an organisation. The Canaries will have a poppy on their match shirts and will also be holding a minute’s silence before kick-off as a mark of respect. Please click here for more information.
Cambridge United
Cambridge United travel to Grimsby having found some form after taking 7 points out of a possible 9 in their last 3 fixtures. Grimsby have also managed to find some form of late having won 2 and drawn 2 of their last four fixtures.
Grimsby sit 1 place and 1 point behind Cambridge in League 2, so this is a very important game for Cambridge who hope to continue their trajectory towards the playoff places! Good luck to the U’s
Newmarket Town
Newmarket face Stowmarket this Saturday at the Bloorie.com Stadium (3.00pm) and are expecting tough opposition from a team that are unbeaten in 8 games. This is then followed by Tuesday’s trip to Haverhill Rovers in the League Challenge Cup (7.45pm).
If the Jockeys beat Stowmarket then they will move 7 points clear of a team who were title contenders at the beginning of the season. Equally, if they lose, Stowmarket will move 1 point behind Newmarket.
Best of luck to all!
