BloorieDotCom ran his first race at The Newmarket July Course on Saturday the 26th of August.
He ran well and kept up with the pack, but did not have a strong enough start on the day to really challenge the leaders. Once he was into his strike, he stayed on the heels of the leaders, and overall put in a commendable effort for his first time on the track.
His trainer, Peter Chapple-Hyam, was pleased with his race, commenting that “he still needs time to mature and to grow, but it is vitally important that we got him out racing so that he can get used to the atmosphere and the process of the day. Once a young colt is accustomed to everything on a race day, the true ability of the horse will start to come through, and they will start winning races.”
We certainly look forward to seeing BloorieDotCom race again, and hopefully get his maiden win!
