Bloor International Enterprises are proud to announce that we will be supporting the upcoming BBC program ‘DIY SOS Big Build’
The program has called on the support of specialist construction companies to help support a project that will see Simon Dobbin’s house completely rebuilt so that it is fit for purpose following his life changing injuries that he suffered at a football game.
One of our divisions, Cambs Glass, is the Stadium Sponsor at Cambridge United. Through this sponsorship is how we got to know Simon, his family and of course his circumstances. As a group we were eager to be involved in this inspirational project in whatever way we could help.
It is a story that is close to all of our hearts and has impacted so many of us around the local area. A number of our employees, who are lifelong Cambridge United fans, were actually there at the Southend away fixture where Simon suffered his sickening injuries.
A number of our divisions, including Cambs Glass Processing, Cambs Glass, Bloorie Building and Bloorie Windows will be providing a number of bespoke items and services for the rebuild of the house that will allow Simon and his family to live in an environment where he can receive the care and attention that he now requires.
The items will include the largest Bi-Folding door that the DIY SOS team have ever seen installed on the show! On top of this, there will be a bespoke front door with two side panels that will allow for easy disabled access. We will also be providing a large number of UPVC doors and windows for the rest of the property.
We are very proud to be able to offer our products and services to help Simon and his family to rebuild their lives following this tragic incident. As a company we are committed to kindness and actively seek out opportunities to give something back to those who are in need.
