Norwich Vs Brentford Preview

Norwich play Brentford tonight at Griffin Park in the Carabao Cup.

The Canaries head to West London on the back of a very important away victory in the league against Sheffield United, which should give the team a huge confidence boost.

Brentford currently sit 22nd in the Championship table, and with 4 fixtures in 11 days, it is highly anticipated that Brentford’s manager, Dean Smith, will make a significant amount of changes in order to make sure his players are prepared for their upcoming championship fixtures.

This isn’t to say that Norwich will not be making any changes either. After such a hard fought away win in Sheffield, it is important that some players get a rest. Daniel Farke told BBC radio Norfolk “We will have some changes, but not because it’s just the cup. We want to have some fresh legs on the pitch, especially after such a hard game in Sheffield.”

Scotland defender Grant Hanley will unfortunately be unavailable to play for the Canaries having already played for his previous club, Newcastle, in the competition’s earlier stages.

Looking forward to the weekend, Norwich will be hosting Bristol City, who sit four places and two points above the visitors. A victory here would see Norwich leapfrog Bristol and enter the top half of the table.
